Who is responsible for your information?

Martins Traubergs is a sole trader trading as webmoose and is the data controller for information collected through this website.

For privacy questions, contact hello@webmoose.co.uk.

Information you choose to provide

An enquiry may include your name, business name, email address, optional phone number, optional website address, service required and message, together with your acknowledgement of this notice. Required details let us understand and respond to your request. The phone and existing website fields are optional. Please do not submit sensitive personal or financial information.

Technical information

Requests to the website may be recorded in server logs, including an IP address, request time, requested page, response status, browser details and referring page. Formspree also receives technical connection information when you submit an enquiry. This is used to deliver the service, investigate faults and detect spam or misuse.

Purpose and lawful basis

We use enquiry details to answer questions, arrange a requested demonstration and discuss website work. Where you are asking us to take steps towards a contract with you, processing is necessary for those pre-contract steps or to perform the resulting contract. For other business enquiries, including enquiries made on behalf of an organisation, we rely on our legitimate interest in responding to people who contact us.

We rely on our legitimate interests in operating a reliable, secure website to process request logs and prevent misuse. Records needed to meet legal or accounting duties are kept on the basis of those legal obligations. Acknowledging this notice does not sign you up to marketing, and enquiry details are not added to a marketing mailing list.

Service providers

DigitalOcean provides the server that hosts this website in London. It may process technical information for hosting, support and security. See its Privacy Policy (opens in a new tab).

Formspree, Inc. receives and stores online form submissions and delivers notification emails to our selected inbox. Its service uses infrastructure in the United States. See its Privacy Policy (opens in a new tab) and security information (opens in a new tab).

IONOS provides our business email service. It receives enquiry notifications from Formspree and handles correspondence sent directly to our business email address. See the IONOS Privacy Policy (opens in a new tab).

International processing

Hosting the website in London does not mean all enquiry data stays in the United Kingdom. Formspree processes submissions in the United States, and providers may use overseas support teams or other service providers. Formspree states that it relies on standard contractual clauses as a processor. DigitalOcean describes its transfer arrangements in its Data Processing Agreement (opens in a new tab).

How long information is kept

We keep an enquiry while it is being discussed. If it will not lead to a project, we delete it when the enquiry is closed and the information is no longer needed. This includes deleting the correspondence and Formspree submissions we control, unless particular information is needed for a legal obligation or a specific dispute.

If an enquiry becomes a client project, we keep relevant information while needed to deliver and support the agreed work. Necessary contract, billing and dispute records are kept for the applicable legal and accounting requirements. We do not keep unrelated enquiry details simply because a project has started.

Nginx logs are checked for rotation daily, with up to 14 rotated files retained for each log. Empty logs are skipped, so older archives are removed as new rotations take place; this is not a guaranteed 14-day deletion period. Provider security logs or recovery copies may remain after a submission or email is deleted, subject to the provider’s retention arrangements.

Your rights and questions

Depending on the circumstances, you may ask to access, correct or delete your personal information, restrict or object to processing, or request portability. Contact the business using the details above. You can also raise a concern with the Information Commissioner’s Office (opens in a new tab).
